Each year the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce honors local businesses who demonstrate vibrant community leadership capabilities and overall social responsibility with the Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Awards.

During the Chamber’s Annual Chairman’s Luncheon on June 20, 2012, Karin’s Florist was presented with the Corporate Citizen of the Year Award for small businesses. President of Karin’s Florist, Maris Angolia was presented the award before a record-breaking audience of nearly 700 members of the business community, elected officials and other community leader.

According to the Chamber’s Press Release recorded on their website, Chamber President and CEO Jim Corcoran confirmed, “We’re proud to honor these companies, non-profits and individuals, which embody the strong commitment to community common throughout Northern Virginia businesses. Through their leadership and corporate social responsibility efforts, they make meaningful contributions to the well-being of our community.”
